This week was turning out to be quite a difficult one, I said goodbye to my husband for goodness knows how long, the faeces hit the rotary oscillator at work and one of my dear friends begins a new chapter of her life at the end of the week – in a new state!!! I wanted to just curl up in the foetal position and rock myself to sleep until things returned to normal, then I realised there is no normal in my life at the moment. I spent two days ranting and raving to my poor co-worker about anything and everything, I was a very grumpy person, I didn’t like me very much – change was necessary.
So, I picked myself up, brushed myself off, went for a run and then threw myself into a yoga position and remembered all the wonderful things in my life. It is important not to take things for granted, we must seek out and value what makes us happy because our thought processes greatly affect how we feel, both emotionally and physically. Therefore, it stands to reason that if we increase positive thoughts, we increase our overall wellbeing.
