Right now, 2 out 3 of my children ‘hate’ me and the other one thinks I am going crazy (but that is of course a story for another time!).
So, why do they hate me? I’m glad you asked, you see, I had to parent them!
The word parent itself is both a noun and a verb, and unfortunately for my children, in this case I was using the term as a verb. As a parent (noun) it is both my job and my responsibility to parent (verb). Let’s just revisit Grammar 101 to ensure we all understand where I am going with this:
So, which sort of parent are you? The noun sort of parent or the verb sort of parent?
